What are your operating hours?
The core early education day is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Extended care is available from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
After-school Enrichment for children ages 3 to 13 runs on weekdays from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on weekends from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Current classes vary by term and location.
Can I have a tour before starting care?
Yes. Private tours begin once the site is safe and ready to receive visitors. Tours must be booked in advance. Before tours begin, families can submit an enquiry and receive confirmed opening and visit updates directly from the admissions team.
Is there a minimum number of days children must attend?
Three-dayand five-day options may be available for younger age groups, subject to space. From age 4, children attend five days per week in line with program and regulatory requirements. Consistent attendance supports relationships, routine, and settling.
What is included in Extended Care?
Extended Care continues the early childhood day from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in a familiar and unhurried environment. Children experience outdoor play, creative exploration, stories, movement, and time to rest or follow their interests.
Children ages 3–6 may also participate in a rotating selection of age-appropriate enrichment experiences led by Ivy educators and specialists. Extended Care is responsive to the needs of young children, so participation in structured activities is never forced. Certain specialist courses may require separate registration and are subject to age requirements and availability.
What should my child bring to school care?
Your child will only need a spare change of clothing and a water bottle. If you choose to not opt into our meal plan, you must pack lunch and snacks. We supply a sunhat and bedding. For families with infants in the nursery, please bring bottles and formula/breast milk, and if a comforter, such as a pacifier, blanket, or soft toys, is required, please feel free to bring this along too.
How do The Ivy’s Early Childhood and Afterschool Enrichment programs work?
The Ivy offers two connected programs within one education community.Our Early Childhood Program provides nursery, Pre-K, KG1 and KG2 education for children from 45 days to 6 years. Families may choose a Half Day, Core Day or Extended Care schedule.
Our Afterschool Enrichment Program offers specialist classes for children ages 3–13 after school and on weekends. It is open to children enrolled at The Ivy as well as children attending other schools. The two programs operate separately, with age-grouped spaces, schedules, and staffing. Older children attending after-school enrichment do not join our early childhood classrooms or mix with The Ivy's younger grouped children.
Will younger children mix with older enrichment participants?
No. Children are grouped according to their age and developmental stage. Our ECE students, such as infants and younger preschool children remain within their dedicated early childhood environments, supported by their familiar educators.
Children attending afterschool enrichment follow separate schedules in designated spaces and do not join the nursery classrooms or routines.
