We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to support our Early Education classroom team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working with young children to gain experience in a collaborative, high-quality educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Support: Assist the Head Teacher in implementing inquiry-based, hands-on activities and maintaining an engaging learning environment.
Childcare: Provide attentive care to children, supporting their physical, emotional, and developmental needs throughout the day.
Learning Facilitation: Help prepare and organize materials for lessons and activities, encouraging children’s participation and creativity.
Observation and Documentation: Observe children’s behavior and progress, sharing insights with the Head Teacher and contributing to developmental records.
Family Communication: Support the Head Teacher in maintaining open and positive communication with families, offering insights into their child’s day.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure a cohesive, supportive classroom environment that aligns with The Ivy’s philosophy.
Requirements
Education: A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is a plus.
Experience: 1 year of experience in an early childhood education or childcare setting is preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage young children effectively.
Passion: A genuine interest in working with children and contributing to their growth and development.
Preferred Qualifications
Availability and/or experience teaching enrichment programs such as Fine Arts, Coding, LEGO Club, Robotics, Arabic, Needlework, Knitting, Yoga, Chess, as part of The Ivy’s Enrichment programs for children aged 3-17.
