This position is for the Early Education Program. 

The Ivy is seeking a dedicated Head Teacher with a passion for early childhood education to lead our classroom team. This role requires a strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and the Reggio Emilia approach, with the opportunity to shape and guide the educational journey of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of a Reggio-inspired, inquiry-based curriculum, fostering a child-led learning environment.

• Develop and execute lesson plans that encourage exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning.

• Mentor and guide assistant teachers, ensuring consistency in teaching practices and supporting their professional growth.

• Regularly assess and document children's progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

• Communicate effectively with families, sharing insights into their child's development and learning journey.

• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a cohesive and supportive classroom environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in an early childhood education setting.

• Familiarity with Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or other inquiry-based learning models.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• A genuine passion for early childhood education and the ability to inspire a love of learning in young children.

• You have both experience and availability in teaching enrichment programs such as (at least 1) fine arts, coding, LEGO club, robotics, Arabic, or chess, as part of The Ivy's Enrichment programs for children aged 3-17.
