Requirements

• Education: A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is a plus. CACHE 2 or 3 Accepted w/ work experience.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in an early childhood education or childcare setting is preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage young children effectively.
• Passion: A genuine interest in working with children and contributing to their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Classroom Support: Assist the Head Teacher in implementing inquiry-based, hands-on activities and maintaining an engaging learning environment.
• Childcare: Provide attentive care to children, supporting their physical, emotional, and developmental needs throughout the day.
• Learning Facilitation: Help prepare and organize materials for lessons and activities, encouraging children’s participation and creativity.
• Observation and Documentation: Observe children’s behavior and progress, sharing insights with the Head Teacher and contributing to developmental records.
• Family Communication: Support the Head Teacher in maintaining open and positive communication with families, offering insights into their child’s day.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure a cohesive, supportive classroom environment that aligns with The Ivy’s philosophy.
