We are seeking a versatile and knowledgeable Enrichment Teacher to lead our Science, Coding, LEGO, Robotics, and Chess afterschool programs. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about encouraging problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork through hands-on activities.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Education, Early Childhood Education, Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience teaching STEM, science, robotics, coding, LEGO, engineering, or technology-based classes to children.
- UAE Experience: Prior experience teaching in a UAE school, nursery, learning center, STEM center, robotics program, or enrichment setting is preferred.
- STEM Knowledge: Strong understanding of age-appropriate STEM concepts, hands-on science learning, engineering design, robotics, coding, and project-based learning.
- Technology Skills: Experience with child-friendly coding or robotics platforms is preferred, such as LEGO Education, Scratch, ScratchJr, Matatalab, Bee-Bot, Tale-Bot, VEX, Arduino, Minecraft Education, Roblox coding, or similar tools.
- Teaching Range: Ability to teach children across different ages, abilities, and levels of STEM experience.
- Age Groups: Experience teaching children between ages 3–12 is preferred.
- Classroom Management: Strong ability to manage small groups during hands-on, active, and materials-based learning.
- Communication: Strong English communication skills for parent updates and team collaboration.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time teaching hours, including afterschool, evenings, weekends, and/or school holiday programs.
- Safeguarding: Must be willing to complete background checks, reference checks, and any required safeguarding documentation.
- Professionalism: Must demonstrate reliability, organization, curiosity, creativity, patience, and a warm, child-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:
- STEM Instruction: Design and deliver engaging enrichment lessons across science, technology, engineering, robotics, coding, LEGO, and problem-solving.
- Hands-On Learning: Create interactive activities, experiments, builds, challenges, and projects that help children learn by doing.
- Science Exploration: Introduce children to age-appropriate scientific concepts through observation, questioning, experimentation, and discovery.
- Robotics & Coding: Support students in early coding, robotics, sequencing, logic, and computational thinking using age-appropriate tools and platforms.
- Engineering Challenges: Plan building, design, and engineering tasks that encourage creativity, teamwork, persistence, and critical thinking.
- LEGO-Based Learning: Use LEGO, robotics kits, and construction-based activities to support spatial reasoning, collaboration, and design thinking.
- Lesson Planning: Prepare structured, age-appropriate lesson plans, materials, equipment, and resources for each class.
- Adapted Instruction: Adapt lessons to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students across different ages and skill levels.
- Small Group Teaching: Lead small class sizes with a warm, organized, and engaging teaching style.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment during hands-on activities.
- Material & Equipment Management: Organize, maintain, and care for STEM materials, robotics kits, LEGO sets, tablets, devices, and classroom resources.
- Progress Monitoring: Observe student participation, problem-solving, collaboration, and skill development.
- Family Communication: Communicate professionally with parents when needed, sharing updates on children’s progress, projects, and achievements.
- Program Support: Support afterschool, weekend, evening, and holiday enrichment programs as The Ivy’s STEM offering grows.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with The Ivy team to ensure the STEM program reflects the center’s high standards, family-centered approach, and commitment to quality.

- References will be required as part of the hiring process.

- Candidates may be asked to complete a short teaching demonstration or sample STEM lesson as part of the interview process.
