Operating from 7:30am - 6:00pm (ECE), we provide the ultimate setting children to flourish, supported by a frequent rotation of world-class, age-appropriate resources.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an early childhood setting, with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Pedagogical Expertise: Strong understanding of early education frameworks and pedegodies or other inquiry-based learning approaches.
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire children and colleagues alike.
  • Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for early childhood education and a deep commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Leadership: Implement and adapt a Reggio-inspired, inquiry-based curriculum.
  • Measurment: Assessing based on Massachusetts framework, ensuring engaging, child-led, and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Classroom Management: Lead the classroom team to create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide assistant teachers, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and high standards in teaching practices.
  • Assessment and Documentation: Observe, assess, and document children's progress, using these insights to personalize learning strategies and share meaningful updates with families.
  • Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with families, providing regular communication about their child’s development and creating opportunities for their active involvement in the learning process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure alignment with The Ivy's educational philosophy, maintain consistency, and support overall program excellence.
